And in most cases that might be true but NOT in the case of specialized or custom products or products made in small batches/ for short shelf life e.g. food and beverage, cosmetic and toiletry product and consumer goods.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>    The coding of these products is done using hand stampers. Again not the kind you are thinking of that you buy at a stationery store because they are made for office use and to stamp on absorbent/flat materials like paper etc.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>    Products packaged in special, attractively printed and made of different shapes to attract you to buy require special coding/printing techniques.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>    They require stampers, which will CONFROM to the shape of the container or print on the neck or the side or the cap or in the bottom.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>    This can cause all sorts of problems since it is not easy to code on these odd/uneven surfaces. There are non-contact automated coders to do this but they are very expensive and require a lot of upkeep and maintenance. And if they break down. OMG.<br /><span></span><br /><span></span>    JMD has the solution for this problem with its manual hand stampers/coders called SHAPEX. These small portable units CONFORM to the shape of the container and will put a stamp and print a code on the bottom, neck, cap, curved/round&nbsp;&nbsp; side or the flat side of the container.
